There are many features and benefits to consider when upgrading your home with a patio cover, screen solution, or adding an additional room.
These covers are the same panels we use for our rooms. Insulated panels are very strong. They can be walked on. Recessed lighting, ceiling fans or skylights are no problem.
Polycarbonate patio covers
These are done in three different shades. Polycarbonate panels block the harmful UV rays but still let light into the home. The entire awning can be polycarbonate or with our standard patio cover we can install just a few panels directly over your home's windows. Deflecting the heat off your home does have distinct energy reduction advantages that contribute to more sustainable buildings. For example, awnings result in cooling energy savings by reducing direct solar gain through windows.
A solar screen will significantly reduce indoor temperature and therefore save money on your cooling costs. Depending on the type of fabric used, the solar screen can reduce ambient room temperature by up to 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
Reduced peak demand may also result in energy cost savings in the future if residential customers are charged higher rates during peak periods. Another outcome of peak demand reduction is the overall savings to utility companies and the public from a decreased need to build new generating capacity.
Solar screens also provide privacy if you have a window that is a little to public.
